COUPLES SESSION-SPICELAND, INDIANA

Did you know that I am a wedding photographer that loves a couples session? I just love photographing love! The best part of a couples session is that no matter how many years (or months) you have been married these sessions capture life’s milestones.

McKinzie and Brandon booked a couples session just before the new year. When I met the two last Summer I was capturing their engagement photos. Now newlyweds, these two young souls found their way back in front of my lens on a cool December afternoon ready to unleash their killer smiles.

Our couples photo session took place at a private residence just outside of Spiceland, Indiana. It was a perfect setting for a romantic session of photos. At the start of our session we walked along the evergreens, strolling through hayfields with a piggyback ride. My couple sessions are fully unposed. This means no poses and only actions that result in motion and candid emotion. I prompted McKinzie and Brandon to dance like they were reliving their wedding day. Followed by a warm embrace where they were asked to seductively sing the ABC’s to one another. Finally, I asked them to pull one another in close, syncing their breathing as one.

The smiles and emotions captured here are true, pure, and raw. No pose can give you that. This is why all of my sessions with couples are unposed.

Ending our session together on a lighter note, I busted out a few smoke bombs! Dramatic in effect, the heat from the white hot smoke bombs were no match against the heat between McKinzie and Brandon.
