THE CRYSTAL COOP- ANDERSON, INDIANA

There is something about a quite and secluded wedding venue that I find so enchanting. Maybe it’s the aloneness, a feeling of exclusivity to the location. Or perhaps it has something to do with the mysteriousness of the uninhabited. Whatever it may be, it’s a magical feeling and I love it. The Crystal Coop is a beautiful little venue tucked away just outside of town in Anderson, Indiana. The Crystal Coop is the perfect spot for a small intimate and yet elegant wedding, and it was the location for the wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Briles.

Nick and Ashlan met while attending Anderson University and immediately fell in love. I had the pleasure of second shooting this wedding with Elese Imagery. Their wedding day was the first time I met Nick and Ashlan. The love and chemistry between the two brought warmth throughout the room.

Before the ceremony, Nick and Ashlan decided on a First Touch. Different than a First Look, with Nick blindfolded, the two shared a warm embrace and exchanged letters. The First Touch allowed Ashlan and Nick to share an intimate moment with one another before walking down the aisle, while keeping with tradition.

After their First Touch, the entire wedding party headed to Ashlan and Nick’s family church for the ceremony. During their wedding ceremony the two participated in a letter locking ceremony and with a prayer were soon pronounced husband and wife. Guests then returned to The Crystal Coop to celebrate with food, cake, and dance. (a Snickerdoodle cake might I add. Yum!!!) Congratulations to the happy couple Mr. & Mrs. Briles! What a great way to kick off the 2019 wedding season!
