Mr. & Mrs. Malott

HENRY COUNTY ARTS PARk, NEW CASTLE, INDIANA

Vendor Team:

Grant and Sara started dating during their junior year of high school. The two had lockers right next to each other throughout high school. It wasn’t until their junior year that they decided to finally talk. One day in homeroom a few classmates were talking about who they were going to give a school sponsored Valentine’s “Crush Can” to. Sara did not think she was going to get one from anyone. Then Grant confidently said, “Don’t worry, I will get you one.” A few days later Sara got a “Crush Can” with a message that read, “Sara, will you be my Valentine?” with no name attached. She worked up the courage to ask Grant after school if it was from him. She told him, “I’ll be your Valentine if you’ll be mine.” …and that is when their love story began.

Grant asked Sara to marry him on a family vacation in Orlando, Florida. Grant had been carrying the ring around the entire vacation, waiting for the right moment to ask Sara to be his wife. On New Years Eve, there was a party outside their condo. When the ball dropped and fireworks of celebration began to go off all around them, Grant proposed to Sara.

Sara’s wedding dress was covered in detailed intricate lace. Her cathedral style veil flowed in grace with each step she took. Grant looked very dapper in his dark gray suite and burgundy vest. With loved ones in the room, Sara and Grant were married at Four Square Gospel Church in New Castle, Indiana. After the ceremony the newly weds rode to their reception, held at the Henry County Arts Park in New Castle, Indiana, in Sara’s grandfathers red classic sports car, making a grand entrance.

During the reception deep hues of burgundy and green decorated the Arts Park pavilion. Twinkle lights strung across the rafters glistened in the night. Grant’s passion for Spiderman snuck into the decor with a very cute spiderman themed cake topper. After toasts by the maid of honor and best man, Sara and Grant danced the night away as the newlywed Mr. & Mrs. Malott.
