HENRY COUNTY ARTS PARK – NEW CASTLE, INDIANA

Spring is a beautiful time to celebrate love. It may be May, but in Indiana Spring has just arrived. The trees are in bloom, the grass is finally green, and flowers are beginning to grace mother earth. As an engagement photographer, it is a dream.

You may think that most sessions are booked far in advance. Especially when it comes to booking with an engagement photographer. That is not always the case. Luckily there are times that I have last minute availability.

Just three weeks away from their wedding day, Andres and Iris reached out to me to schedule an engagement session. The two drove from Shelbyville, Indiana to have their engagement session at the Henry County Arts Park in New Castle, Indiana.

From the moment I met Andres and Iris their love for one another created an energy contagious with life. One of my favorite things about the Henry County Arts Park is the diversity that it offers. Florals, woods, a small pond. This location has it all. The park is even home to a small scale replica of the Robert Indiana Love sculpture, a photo opt that we had to take!

I always suggest to couples that they do two outfits during their engagement session. Typically couples opt for a dressy outfit followed by one more casual. This helps add variety to the images and gives you options when it comes to using the images later on. Two outfits is also a great way to compromise if say you like to keep things dressy, but your fiancé prefers jeans and a t-shirt. Andres and Iris opted for two casual outfits, which completely fit their laid back personality.
