ENGAGEMENT SESSION CHESTERFIELD, INDIANA
I met Logan and Spencer for the first time in December. Spencer is a firefighter in Chesterfield, Indiana. Logan works in the medical field. When thinking about a location for their session, Logan wanted to unite their two passions. What better way to do so than to have their engagement session at the local station for the fire department Spencer works for?
When we first met at the Chesterfield Fire Department in Chesterfield, Indiana, I could not have guessed how fun filled our one hour session together would be. This was my first time shooting in a fire station and I was not disappointed! I was first introduced to the several trucks and ambulances. Then I went on a small tour, lead by Logan and Spencer. Finally, I was then told we could use any of the equipment in the space as props. I love when clients incorporate their passions and hobbies into their sessions, it makes the images so precious and a little more meaningful.
Before our session Logan informed me of how nervous she and Spencer were to be in front of the camera. Once we began interacting with the trucks and equipment that they are so familiar with, those nerves quickly slipped away. Their movements were natural and their actions were genuine. I could see the passion they share in both their work and lives together. So many couples think that they are awkward in front of the camera, but that is almost never true! That is especially apparent here with Logan and Spencer. They may have been nervous at first, but you could never tell it in these images. All I see is love and it’s beautiful.
