FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH- MUNCIE, INDIANA: Alan and Taylor met in Colorado, on a church trip. When I first meet a couple I like to ask them how they met and what their first impression of one another was. Upon meeting Alan and Taylor, Taylor said when she first met Alan she knew he was quiet, trustworthy, and a reliable soul. Eager to get to know him more, she knew God had put him in her life for a reason.
Alan and Taylor’s engagement story is beautiful. Alan proposed with the help of one of Taylor’s friends. Planning a surprise dinner complete with a bouquet of roses. Alan first knew Taylor was the one when he began to think about his future and found he was planning it around being with her. He knew that no matter what happened in life, he could make it through with her by his side. When I first asked Alan to describe Taylor he told me that she is a servant of God, humble, and caring.
The faith between Alan and Taylor is strong and humble. The two married on the first Saturday of September at the First Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana. If you are not familiar with the venue, First Baptist Church is gorgeous. A stone church downtown, the chapel is divine and filled with rich architecture.
Surrounded by family and friends, Alan and Taylor celebrated their love with a simple ceremony. They chose the colors blue and pink as their wedding colors, and the old woodwork in the church added rustic charm to the day of decor. With a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus, dinner and cake were served to add to the celebration.
